• A person must be sincere to Allah, Glorified and Exalted, free from whims and partisanship.
The choice of religion must be made from a rational and logical standpoint, in accordance with what sound minds and pure innate dispositions agree with, without disabling the faculty of thinking that Allah, Blessed and Exalted, has bestowed upon the human being—especially when the matter relates to belief in the Creator God, Glorified and Exalted, and the creed about which a person will be questioned and held accountable by his God and Creator, Glorified and Exalted.
This then leads to distinguishing between what is sound and unsound, good and bad, and consequently making the best choice in accordance with what the human being was created upon, in order to reach what is better, more refined, and more sublime in belief—such belief as befits Allah, Glorified and Exalted.

 

• A person senses and finds his true gain in Islam when the evidences of its credibility and the proofs of the truthfulness of the message of His Messenger Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, become clear to him.
He then praises Allah, the Exalted, for having guided him to the blessing of Islam as a religion, after He granted him success in that which testifies to its credibility and demonstrates the truthfulness of the message of His Messenger Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.
